The curriculum offers students intensive and highly professional preparation for working in design-related fields as well as for pursuing the Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at upper-level institutions of art and design in the United States and Europe. The program is specifically designed for smooth transfer to Parsons School of Design in New York through a curriculum carefully structured to parallel that of Parsons. Under the 2+2 program, qualified School of Design graduates may transfer directly into the Parsons junior year, continuing toward the BFA degree. Many other School of Design graduates opt to enter the job market immediately. The industry-oriented and highly practical curriculum at Altos de Chavon equips AAS graduates with an exceptional array of employable skills.
