How to Apply
Artists may apply directly to the Administration at Altos de Chavón or to the New York office by:
• submitting a letter explaining their interest in
Altos de Chavón• 10 slides (35mm), tape or photos of recent work
• a resume
• copies of any published critiques of your work
• three letters of reference
Every effort will be made to return the unused materials in good condition–however we are not responsible for lost materials.
Most artists apply for the standard three and a half months residency. Artist couples may apply, children can accompany parents, pets are not permitted. A panel meets in New York each July to select the 15 international artists for the following year.
