FINE ARTS/ILLUSTRATION

The Fine Arts/Illustration major affords the student with a love of visual expression the opportunity to understand, and the ability to convey, the messages of contemporary visual arts. The strong knowledge of drawing and visual literacy gained in Chavón's Foundation Year is enhanced, refined, and built upon during the Second Year's multifaceted program. The educational experience emphasizes meshing skills with concept and execution, making for the well-rounded graduate. Digital mastery is an essential component in preparing the Fine Arts/Illustration graduate for the competitions, art galleries, and illustration positions that await the visual artist.
