The Altos de Chavon School of Design operates under a rolling admissions policy. Applications may be submitted up to two weeks before registration, and admissions decisions are made at any time during the year. An applicants file is presented to the Admissions Committee only after all steps in the application process have been completed. Decisions are made when all required documents and fees have been received. Applicants are notified regarding admission within a few weeks after the completed file has been received. All those who wish to study at The Altos de Chavon School of Design and who agree to be governed by its regulations are welcome to apply, irrespective of their race, color, sex, age, religion, nationality, or marital status. The potential for artistic achievement at the School of Design is the most important criterion for admission. A large part of the admissions procedure is based on the portfolio and home exam, as summarized under Admissions Information and described in our catalog. However, significant weight is also placed on the applicants interview and on academic criteria such as grades, class rank, and test scores. |
