The full-time matriculated student at the School of Design is enriched by the visiting lecturer series. Each year renowned experts from the Dominican and international professional art and design world visit the School. They spend several days teaching, lecturing, and working on special projects with students and faculty, widening students' educational vistas and broadening their outlook on the world.

Master workshops have been conducted by such guest artists as Nancy Graves, Phillip Pearlstein, Sergio Baradat, Henry Wolf, Ivan Chermayeff, J.C. Suares, Armando Milani, Constantin Boym, Vicente Wolf, James Wines, Adam Tihany, Nicole Miller, Oscar de la Renta, and Osvaldo Guayasamin. Leading Dominican designers and artists are amply represented as frequent visitors to the School of Design.

Parsons and New School administrators, department heads, and faculty visit Altos de Chavon regularly as observers, lecturers, and consultants, playing an important role in the School’s ongoing development.
